Welcome to Linux Packages.
If you want more information about the site, the backend and other little goodies please see Site FAQ (Updated).
It has information about
adding Linuxpackages package listings, adding a Linuxpackage search box to your site and general
silly information about me and the site.
This site is dedicated to the the enrichment and enhancement of the Slackware Linux operating system.
We are gathering a vast resource of Slackware packages from around the world. We feel that some of the other application sites have become to hard to use and its hard to find a package just for you. Many times no links to packages are even provided.
We also feel the move to a one standard package system proposed by the LSB is wrong. Each vendor should have the freedom to choose what format best fits their systems. We hope by offering this site that it will help bridge the gap between the Vendors and make it easy for people who run different distributions to have one place to fill all their package needs.
This site is maintained for the community by the community. And is supported through the sale of CD's and other odds and ends which we haven't started doing yet. We are not trying to ride the Linux gravy train just trying to pay for the uplink.
Right now we are only offering Slackware packages but we hope to expand in the near future to all major versions of Linux.
We would like the thank some people that have helped with the site and for their support.
A special thanks to the below person who has been with me from almost the begining and has put as many
years into this as I have. Also congradulations on the new bride and thanks again.

Web
This web site is hand coded, it is not based off any nuke puke or any of those
other prefab portals. The backend alone is a monster amount of php code and continues
to grow.
